Our Career Counseling Workshops are designed to empower youth in the remote mountain villages of Uttarakhand with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to make informed decisions about their future. In many of these areas, young students grow up with limited exposure to career possibilities beyond traditional paths such as the Army or basic jobs in metro cities. Often, they are unaware of the growing opportunities available within their own state—especially in sectors like tourism, agriculture, healthcare, and local entrepreneurship, which are supported by various government schemes.

To address this gap, Himalayan Impact Trust has launched a structured and participative program aimed at career awareness and personal development. These workshops are conducted primarily in government schools and colleges across the Kumaon region, with a special focus on underserved and remote communities. The sessions include interactive discussions, games, and activities designed to help students explore their interests, understand their strengths, and get clarity on potential career paths.

We also provide practical skill-building support such as resume writing, interview preparation, and group discussion training, helping students become job-ready and confident in professional settings. Our trainers and volunteers work closely with students even after the workshops, ensuring follow-up guidance and long-term impact.

Looking ahead, we aim to expand this program to include entrepreneurship training for youth who wish to start small businesses locally—especially in areas like eco-tourism, local crafts, and sustainable agriculture. Through these workshops, we hope to not only inform but inspire the next generation of Himalayan changemakers.
